The Artists

The artists are the purpose and the inspiration for this agency. Our unique focus is in representing artists whose work spans a wide range of expression—across genres, projects, scale, disciplines, and visual language. That range may take the form of multiple ensembles, intimate and large-scale work, interdisciplinary collaborations, theatrical or visual elements, or a body of work that changes shape over time. This type of artist is rare, but also needs a team that can help tell their story. This is what we are most passionate about, so we have built our team and systems around this idea.

Our Mission

To help every person we collaborate with to discover their unique ability and support them doing the work that only they can do.

Our PHILOSOPHY

We believe an artist's voice is not fixed, but living—continually rediscovered through experience, curiosity, and circumstance. Every creative needs people around them who cultivate and protect the space in which that voice can be inhabited, wherever it may lead.

Our NAME

The story of the Red Dog is a layered one—one of lightheartedness, legacy, team unity, and self-reflection.

As our team searched for a name, we found ourselves returning again and again to the fox.

In Gaelic and Celtic folklore, the red fox is often seen as a creature that moves between worlds—a quiet guide that bridges the familiar and the unknown. Known for its intelligence, intuition, adaptability, and ability to navigate hidden paths, the fox symbolizes thoughtful movement through uncertain places.

That image resonated deeply with us.

We see ourselves as a bridge between artists and the world around them, helping audiences, presenters, and communities discover the stories artists are trying to tell. We also recognize those same qualities in the artists we represent: curiosity, resilience, instinct, and the courage to follow a creative path that is uniquely their own.

But then why is ‘fox’ not in the name? The agency's founder is Michael Fox, and the decision was made early on not to build the company's identity around one individual. Calling the agency Red Dog became our tongue-in-cheek way of acknowledging both the founder's surname and the symbolism of the fox without using "Fox" in our name. The semantics are a bit coy, but the sentiment is sincere. Organizations, like great artistic work, are built collectively.

The Red Dog became a reminder that the agency belongs to the team and the artists it serves, not to its founder. It also reminds us that our role is not to stand at the center of the story, but to create and protect the space in which artists can tell theirs.
